Peugeot Paris Nature 9 inch Salt & Pepper Mills Gift Set

Designed as reproductions of the original Peugeot mill from 1874, these timeless mills are still manufactured in France.

The grind control knob on the head of each mill can be twisted to create your precise balance of flavor. Adjust the knob to obtain the preferred grind size – the tighter the knob, the finer the grind. Powered by a two-stage grinding mechanism, these mills first effortlessly crack and then grind the peppercorns and salt crystals to the desired coarseness.

Through two centuries of experience, we have expertly engineered each mill and mechanism specifically for the consistency and shape of peppercorns and salt crystals. To ensure optimum use, make sure to fill each mill with the correct spice. The gear mechanism is made from stainless steel that is treated to prevent corrosion and rust.

The classic mechanism of these mills brings out the depth of each seasoning. Salt makes vegetables tastier and balances other flavors, while finely ground pepper will bring out its spice, and a coarser grind intensifies the flavor. Our salt mills come partially filled with Cristaux de sel blanc d'Allemagne, a dry white salt from Germany, and our pepper mills with Tan Hoi black pepper from Vietnam (refill cubes are available from Peugeot). When refilling, use peppercorns (max size ¼-inch/6mm) and dry salt only (max size ⅙-inch/4mm) – do not use sea salt.
